Chilango's Authentic Mexican RestaurantOwned and operated by Chilango and Linda Onofre, this restaurant quickly became one of my favorites. Chilango and Linda are very friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable. The food is excellent and very economical. One of my favorite dishes is the Beef Chimichanga. My brother normally eats the Buffalo Wings and my sister regularly eats the Taquitos. Their "Nachos Down South" is an excellent dish for big appetites. Their salsa is fresh and authentic. My only complaint is that their cheese sauce is a little runny when it's hot from the stove. They're located on Hwy 28E in Pineville in the old "Judy's Cafe" building, right across the street from Schaeffer's Automotive. UPDATE: As of May 19 Chilango's is closed due to family and health issues. They hope to reopen in the future. |
